My mission is to give the Pibbles back there great name & status in this world.
To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

 

Mission Statement:

To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.

Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.

In the beginning it was Saleena, Lynda and Sharon who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation.

Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We don't just take healthy dogs, we take mange dogs and heartworm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused and have broken bones, open wounds and scars. When we are done, only the scars remain. Under those scars are beautiful animals with tremendous love to give.

The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day.

We are a NO kill all breed rescue with a special place for the Pibbles & More...

We dream of a day when we are NO longer needed. Shelters are empty, Puppy Mills NO longer exist & Humans & animals live together peacefully without abuse, torture & abandonment... Among other things.

Description

Pibbles and More Animal Rescue, Inc. is a small, home based rescue located in Queens, NY. We are made up of fosters and volunteers who not only generously give their time but give of themselves.

It is together through the collaboration of Saleena Hernandez Jennifer Strickler, Dana Zindell, Beth DesRochers, Lori Sargent, Lisa McFarland, Janet McFarland and Lynda Blood that we rescue dogs in NYC as well as from all over.

Currently in DIRE need of foster homes in NYC,NJ, CT, RI, MASS, NEW HAMPSHIRE, STATEN ISLAND & PA..
