Stone (fka David) was rescued from NYC ACC. He came in with his wife and babies. Sadly they were rescued but David was left behind. He didn't do well in the shelter and he wasn't temperament tested as he was exhibiting aggressive behavior so he was labeled rescue only. We couldn't let him die without a chance. When we met Stone he was more unsure and scared than anything and showed not one ounce of aggressive behavior so far. :) If you would like to adopt Stone, please fill out and application.

Max is a 1year old American Bulldog/pit mix. This guy is always happy and just loves to be loved & play fetch! He does well with children of all ages and would do well in a home with a female dog. He does very well one a leash and knows how to sit, down, leave it and roll over. Max is a big laid back boy that could fit into any life style active or not so active. Max's favorite thing to do is shower you with kisses. He is house trained and crate trained. He has lots of love and kisses that he loves to share :)
Gonzalez a 1 year old male rescued from NYC ACC. He's up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, walks well on the leash, listens well, and is such a sweet and awesome boy. Gonzalez is the complete package. He does have one down fall:( He needs to be your one and ONLY. He has settled now and its apparent he does NOT like other animals at all. So he will need an experienced owner and he also has to be your one true love. He is looking for a foster or adopter www.pmarinc.org for an application.

Foster Rott Pups, 11 weeks, First Day 12/07/12
The puppies are here that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They are very frightened and have had minimal human contact so they need fosters willing to work and socialize them and if anyone is interested in adopting please be aware they need work. Lucy is a 3 year old pibble looking for her forever home...
A volunteer writes: Of course, the entire time I was with Lucy I was singing, "Lucy in the sky with diamonds..." And indeed this beautiful girl should be wearing a diamond tiara...Lucy is a stunning girl with amber eyes that perfectly match the amber patches in her coat. Her eyes make wonderful soft eye contact as she looks at me gently. She joined us as a stray, still lactating, puppies no where to be seen. Lucy is a sweet, gentle, low key girl. She appears to be housetrained "going" as soon as we were out the door. She is friendly, her tail wags, and her leash manners are lovely. She sits on command and takes treats very gently. She ignored other dogs we passed, simply delighting in being out for walk in the park. She has a regal bearing about her, a posture that says "I'm such a good girl, I know my forever family will find me." She has a wonderful pittie smile that lights up her face. Lucy is a girl who needs a family to love; she is gorgeous inside and out.

A volunteer writes: Day and Night. Before and After. I guess, this could describe Jean 's behavior today. Jean came in as a stray, very frightened, even giving a hard time to our shelter workers. The small dog sitting by my side, cuddling with me, kissing me, although still shy and reserved, is the same Jean, though, all skinny and with a cherry eye....
One friendly and super affectionate girl she is. Indeed, Jean is coming out of her shell. Jean is not a big dog. She has had her share of litters. She is overly thin but her coat is intact and free of scars. She seems housetrained. In the street as well as in the backyard, she meets in a very civil way with other dogs. I loved Jean at first sight and even more after our time together. The whole evening as I was going again and again in front of her crate, she kept looking at me and me at her. You are my new master, right? I belong to you, right?
It feels good to love and be loved but this trust, this hope an animal puts in you hurts too as you know you can not be, as a volunteer, her owner. Still, my hope is to see this wonderful reserved female who most likely had a difficult life, find her way to a loving and caring home.
