Animal Advocacy
New York bill passed and "DNA Database" will include animal abusers
Per info from NY Legislator James Tedisco:
One of the many upsides to the expansion of the DNA Database that we recently passed into law is that convicted animal abusers now must submit DNA samples. We know animal cruelty is a bridge crime and those who would be so demented as to hurt an animal can and will hurt people. The person who tortured and killed Buster the Cat went on to rape a girl in Schenectady. This bill is good news for all New Yorkers -- including our four-legged friends!
Details of the story can be found here.
