Mugsy

Mugsy has a 108 fever, mange, bacterial infection and yeast infection. His eyes were so goopy they had to wash them out to be able to check them. He is so swollen from the infections that his pores are actually aspirating blood pus and other fluids. He is also under weight and dehydrated; iv fluids were given.

If he continues to worsen his skin could break open. He is on seven different medications and needs a treatment bath for 20 minutes every day. Needs to be rechecked every week at vet.

Veterinarian said "We are surprised a rescue would want to take on such a deteriorated animal. Most places would have just put him down because of the expense and devotion this animal needs"

PMAR needs your help with Mugsy's medical care. It's going to be ongoing for a while to get him healthy. Please consider donating what you can. Every bit helps!

Thanks for caring!

Angel ( Jenny ) update: This little lady has come a long way , up almost a full 2 pounds from her shelter weight ! We are still hopeful and medicating her right eye in hopes of her having some vision it's not looking that promising but giving up isn't an option.

On top of her eye issues it has also been confirmed that she has CH, I would rate her between mild and moderate, she does get around wonderfully and makes her potty every time. Her personality is pristine, snuggling and purring constantly :)

 Parker

Parker came into Pibbles N More Animal Rescue on May 9, 2012 with an overload of bottle babies. Saleena got an email for a single bottle baby whom no one was stepping up for. Certain that it was the end of the road for this baby Saleena being Saleena said send him to us :)

He arrived with a tube of terramycin stating that he had conjunctivitis. His foster momma was nervous because two days passed and Parker still wouldn't latch onto the bottle. At the end of day two his face swelled up to the point that the eyelid could not open.

After being seen at the vet he was put on clavamox and we hoped for the best not knowing if there was a tumor growing or an abscess. Among other things he was very tiny and weighed only 4 oz at three weeks old. After a week or so Parker started losing the hair on his face and then the abscess surfaced, which was a relief knowing it wasn't a tumor.

There were also many visits to the vet with dehydration. It has been a day to day struggle. His troubles were farfrom over when he was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. And we also found out Parker was a little girl :). With the abcess and swelling finally gone after almost three weeks we are facing her problems head on. Her foster mom is really routing for her and taking care of her. She says that Parker has a strong will and is turning into a toddler who wants nothing more than to play and snuggle.

She is constantly monitored because there is always a fear of aspiration due to her condition, so she has to eat many small meals and be on infant mylacon drops to help reduce the gas so we don't have to do anymore gastric depressions. As long as there is hope we will be her angels, lloving her and pulling her thru....

If you would like to donate to help us with the care of Parker, you can donate through the "Donate" button on the top right corner of this page.
